Review
GetDataBack is software for file recovering after formatting, system failure or virus infections. You can use it for recover deleted files on your hard disks in three easy steps. Before starting, you must specify the situation in which you lost your data (disk formatting, new OS installation, and so on). The analysis would vary according the seriousness of the scenario. Then, you shoud choose the hard disk you want to scan in search of lost or missing files. This is Step 1. Once you have selected the drive you want to explore, information about it would appear. On clicking the Next button, the program would search for al the files on the drive. Step 2 is Selecting the file system you want to display in the recovery tree. In the last step, the program shows all the files found in the selected drive. They are clasified according to a very east-to-read legend, in which deleted files appear crossed-out. You can choose the files you want to recover and preview them with the built-in preview feature, or opening with their associated application (i.e., .doc files would open with MS Word). Demo version does not allows to copy the recovered files to a new location. You must purchase a license for the product for doing so. |
